The Project: Ukraine Water Towers

Many towns across the country are grappling with severe water shortages due to damaged energy infrastructure. To combat this urgent issue, we are working to supply the necessary solar power to keep water towers operational, thereby restoring access to clean water for countless families in 28 villages. Solar is the perfect solution for each of these locations which use gravity fed towers.

The Timeline

We have local engagement letters for each of the locations and panels will be shipped to the Maryland warehouse by May and enter Ukraine in July to complete construction by the end of 2025.

The Partners

Initially in our collaboration with United Help Ukraine (UHU) and the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine (ASEU), we were dedicated to the critical task of restoring some essential power at Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital. However, due to its bombing by Russia and international agencies coming to its aid, our focus changed to efforts on the broader water crises throughout Ukraine. Our partnership with UHU provides needs identification, logistical support, and a local implementation team for the installation.  We also partner with Amicus and some of their member partners to donate the panels: Dynamic Energy, Energy Select, StraightUp Solar, SunLight and Power, and Sunsense Solar.
